Ilios Fall 2022 Edition

John Klopotowski
John Klopotowski
John has headed the process to restart Ilios since its break during COVID-19. He is conversational in (formal) Arabic and is an intermediate Turkish speaker – in the summer of 2022 he began intensive Turkish lessons in Istanbul and has continued to study the language through the fall. He has also been featured in other publications on campus, including The Slap's Spring 2022 edition. Moving forward, he wishes to combine his undergraduate work with his language skills and interest in writing to undertake a research project regarding media history and access in the Middle East in graduate school. John is thrilled to be restarting Ilios, as he is dedicated to creating a space for undergraduates to share their work with their peers and the outside world.
